Hard to imagine where PF would have gone is Syd stayed clean and sane. Might not have led to Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of The Moon. Those are great albums, but Piper at the Gates and Madcap Laughs are pretty darn good too.

OK doc. I checked out your playlists. They're good but you missed Drive my Car by the Beatles, Promised Land by Chuck Berry and Road Tripping by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Those are excellent drive tunes. PFFan
We need to get this going. What's the best PF album prior to Dark Side???
I been gone for awhile but now I'm back. Most people forget the classic Pink Floyd live album Delicate Sound of Thunder. Its got all the classic songs plus some older stuff. Of course I am biased. PF Fan
The original mixed color but still white soul band: Booker T and the MG's.
My favorite song by the 2nd best British band of all time is Ticket to Ride.

Most people will say Dark Side and rightly so. I'm really into the early Floyd, so I am very biased. I'll try to balance my personal preferences and be objective, and my Top five are:
1-Dark Side
2-Piper at the Gates
3-Wish you were here
4-Ummagumma…
It's out of print. It was a CD on Bellvedere records from 1994. Maybe 1000 copies pressed. It says you wil pay 100.00 or more today.

There's good live stuff out there. If you a casual Floyd fan, try Pulse on DVD. It was released a couple years ago
