60's Rock Music

From Dr. Rock, your dose of the BEST music ever made!

Which do you consider to be the best "live" albums of all time? Here's twelve from my list to get you thinking. These are not necessarily my "Top 12", although they're all pretty damn good live recordings:

Allman Brothers, Live at The Fillmore East (1971)
James Brown, Live At The Apollo (1963)
Cheap Trick, At Budokan (1979)
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, 4 Way Street (1974)
Deep Purple, Made In Japan (1972)
Peter Frampton, Frampton Comes Alive! (1976)
B.B. King, Live At The Regal (1965)
Little Feat, Waiting For Columbus (1978)
Joni Mitchell, Miles Of Aisles (1977)
Otis Redding, Live In Europe (1967)
Lou Reed, Rock And Roll Animal (1974)
The Who, Live At Leeds (1970)

It's a DVD but I have to add Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii (1972) and Johnny Cash At Folsom Prison (1968)
I know people may have a lot of issues about Yes, but Yessongs is an awesome live album with one of the most classic covers ever. It's almost more orchestral than rock - but when they start cranking on something like Heart of the Sunrise, ya gotta stand up and take notice. (Note that I'm only allowed to play it when my wife's not around. The dog likes it though.)
Captain Beefheart, Mirror Man (Los Angeles 1965)
Grateful Dead, Live (Double album)
Grateful Dead - Europe 72
you're going to laugh about this: Monterey Pop Festival 1967 :D
No one could/should ever laugh at your choice. It's a great one! I have the LP version myself. A great concert compilation - Buffalo Springfield, Big Brother, Hugh Masekela, Otis, Byrds, etc. - and 2 years before Woodstock, no less! - Dr. Rock

Jimi Hendrix Live at the Fillmore East, where's that?
Where's Rolling Stones Get your Ya Yas Out?
I been gone for awhile but now I'm back. Most people forget the classic Pink Floyd live album Delicate Sound of Thunder. Its got all the classic songs plus some older stuff. Of course I am biased. PF Fan
Here are a few more of my favorites:

The James Gang, Live In Concert (1971)
The Mothers Of Invention, Just Another Band From L.A. (1972)
Van Morrison, It's Too Late To Stop Now (1974)
Stevie Ray Vaoughan & Double Trouble, Live Alive (1986)

Anyone care to compile a list and start a ranking system?

And as you can see in my 8/15/09 blog post, I think Rock Of Ages by The Band is one of the best live albums. Dr. Rock
